Retrieving combo box info from a form.

I'm making a report at the moment and in one of my text boxes i want to retrieve information from my form's combo box. On one of my form's text boxes i'm able to put this into the control source: "=Salesperson_combobox.column(2)". Am I able to do the same thing on my report for a differnet combo box? At the moment I've got:"=Forms!enquiriesmainform.PurchasingOfficer_Combo.column(4)" but I when i preview the report it comes up as #name?

Just add the relevant field to the reports underlying query, it saves have to keep the form open
