I ended up with New Outlook when I installed Office and it doesn't support the rules that the Old outlook supported so my spam is back out of control. How do I get Old Outlook to install. MS as completely messed up the install of Office and doesn't give me any options except 32/64 bit

I went back to Classic as well. Think I followed these steps https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-outlook/3cd5cafd-3db6-4444-a6e8-dd835829b9d0

Both versions are in my program list

Thanks, I'll try them later.

I think you only have a short time to revert. A colleague in my work did so, despite him not using VBA, so do so sooner than later. :)
I think they call the old working version Classic Outlook.

Such is progress. :(

As it happens, I had the option on New vs Old for my LTSC copy of Office and I knew about the issues of New Outlook breaking with COM and VBA standards. From what I've seen and heard online, "new" Outlook isn't so nice for apps that control other actions via application objects.

I cannot see myself moving off 2019.
And I only go that, so I could open later version databases, that my 2007 could not.

Took a bit of getting used to where all the outlook stuff was as well, and that seemed crippled to me, when just adding some menu entries to run code or templates.

The lack of security updates after 2025-10-14 can/should tempt you to get a new version of Office...

I'm on a O365 subscription, and refuse to use the new Outlook, it's awful by comparison.

The question, at least in part, is not just what limitations "New" Improved! Modern! Space Age Outlook has, but whether or not your Access database applications require automation of Outlook. If so, it's a non-starter. "New" Improved! Modern! Space Age Outlook does not support COM.
