Hi all,
I would like to interact with a document scanner in a way that requires the least amount of user input:
A command button to open the scanner's software (i guess shell command should do) but then I want to go one step further - the name of the scanned document must be automatically set to the name of a particular control/field on the active form.
I dont want the user to choose his own name for the scanned doc as I would upload the doc (jpg format) to my server and later want to retreive it by the same name.
Seems like I'll have to get someone to develop software that interacts with the scanner in the above preset way: locking in name and file format.
Any idea how I would go about doing this?
By the way - it could be any scanner as I would invoice the client for a scanner when they buy my app.
