I'm wondering if anyone would have some access/code examples they would be willing to share concerning making a schedule...

What I'm trying to do is have a list of people, with the times they are available, each person would have a seperate meeting with me, and then I have the time I am available. I'd like to be able to automate the scheduling process, as in setting up a time that fits both theirs, and mine, and allows for the time required in the meeting.

Thank you very much in advance.

Might involve a licensing cost issue, and it needs a machine setup up as a server, but you'd be better off for most cases to use MS Outlook rather than roll your own through Access. Because of the way time works in Access, a real "scheduler" can be a pain in the toches. Besides, other than personal gratification and self-improvement, why re-invent a wheel (Access Meeting Scheduler) that has already been invented (Outlook Multi-Person Calendar)?

Thats kind of what I was afraid of.

RE: Outlook

My situation gets a little more complex I think. Here's the situation, I have students who are enrolled in a course that has units that need to be completed. I have instructors who have about 8 or so students assigned to them. Instructors have availability in blocks of about 10 hours, students in blocks of 4 right now. Also, I have airplanes. Now, I need to schedule a student and an instructor for say a two hour time period in their common availability.

I would like to have this function automatically, but I'll mess with outlook and see what I can do.

Thanks for the input....I'm no where near the programming level I think I need to be at to accomplish what I am trying to do!
