Search using a Wildcard?

Can someone please help?...

I want to run a search via a form that allows the user to search for a record using *. e.g. If they wish to find all personnel records whose name starts with M - all they have to enter is M*.

How do I do this - what coding do I need to use?

You could use an input box (see Access help under InputBox) but I reckon a neater way is to use the Alpha Search form.

An example of this form is on the Northwind Database, you can use this to bring up a list of the selected letter names on the search form and then click on person you need to populate your personnel form.
