Searching for foreign characters in a string

Hi All,

Can someone please let me know how I can search for foreign characters in a field. I am only expecting letters to be in the field, but the user may have entered another key by mistake. Keys such as :,@,~etc could have been entered by the user.

Should I look for specific values where the potential ones are listed?

Can I do this in a query or do I need to write additional code.
