hi everybody

i have a situation
i deliver my products to the customers
may be every alternate day the qty would be 150 no
i want to give running serial number to individual product
if i deliver around 1500 products every month
how do i handle the serial number
please help

the serial number should be traceable to the customer in case if it returns for rework or rejection

suppose i deliver 100 nos on a particular day..
do i have to create 1,2,3,4....100 serial number manually and store it in table
if i use dmax how do i do it automatically such that if the qty delivered is 100
then dmax should run from 1-100.
or is there a better way to do it

nothing wrong

but the serial number log is maintained in a separate table

if i select a delivery challan number and if the delivery qty on this delivery challan is 100 nos then

i will have to do it manually or

the consecutive 100 serial number should be alloted to that dc number automatically
