Setting up Security in Access

I was wondering if someone could walk me through in setting up read only security access for users accessing my database on a network drive. I have done research in this forum but I still do not have a clear direction as to how to set this up. I have used the Security Wizard to set up access rights and I had everything working great from my system but as soon as I used someone else's system it did not prompt with a user login prompt as it did from when I used my system. This is my last hurdle before I implement the database. Thanks in advance.

Look in Access Help and do a search in Workgroup Information File. I think you need to either install both the database and the WIF on a server or copy both the database and the WIF to each of your users' hard drives.

Sharing on a network is hard. Maintaining current files on lots of workstations is hard. Access security is hard. 'Nuff said.
