I have a report that has three phone numbers on it: Home Phone, Work Phone, and Fax number.

To identify each there are three labels on the left side of the text boxes: H, W, and F.

What I would like to see happen is this. Should someone not have one or more of the phones numbers, the text box and the label shrinks to nothing so that the other text boxes move up and more records can fit on the page.

How can I set this up? There is no Can Shrink/Can Grow properties on labels like on text boxes.

As you can see, labels do not provide this. Use a text box instead and set the control source of your text box to act as labels, as follows, replacing the correct field name:

=IIf(IsNull([TextboxHomePhone]),Null,"Home Phone:")

What the above does, is if your actual field containing the HomePhone does not have data, then the text box will not show, but if the field does have data, then the caption Home Phone: will show.

Make sure that you have not set any border lines in this text box and have it set to visible with the Can Shrink set to yes.

Good luck.
