I MEAN I WANT TO WRITE THE ORDER OF THE MARK NEAR TH NAME OF THE STUDENT , REMEMBER I DONT WANT TO CHEANG THE SORT FO THE STUDENTS NAME JUST I WANT TO WRITE THE STUDENT ORDER

See qryA and qryB for two different methods of dealing with possible ties.

qryB corresponds to Example 3 in the Microsoft article.


Note:
You need to use the Nz() function in the Rank expression to convert Null total marks to zero.

A better way would be to directly show the zero total marks in your "Mark1" query with this expression (in case some students skipped some of the tests):-
Nz([Rebort1])+Nz([Test1])+Nz([PhTest1])+Nz([Activ1])+Nz([Notes1])

My freinds i have to be more clear .

I'm physical Education teacher and I have to test my studints in sport,

the problem is i have to do tow things

feast thing I have to convert the records to a sembel nomber ,
second thing I have to sort and rank the students .

for exambel :

if I make an Exam to my students like kiking the ball as far as busiple ,
so why i need the ranking ?
i need ranking to now who is the bet one of my students

nots:

the bigst mark in sport exam is 35

the ranking make the exam mor clear .

of cors i try to do ranking but there is a big broblim
the broplim in that example which i attach it in my reply is

when i rebed som mark the rank well rebed but the next rank will not showing
for example

if i inter these marks

25
25
30
33
32

the rank will be like these
10 >>> 6
25 >>> 4
25 >>> 4
30 >>> 3
33 >>> 1
32 >>> 2

so we can find that rank five is not wroting there in my marks ranking ?

so waht is the problem
and how can i fex it ?

Why, isn't the ranking in Example 3 what you are after?
