Hello

This is how my report looks now

As you can see, I have a sub report that displays the tests done and their results for each sample. When several tests are done for each sample(seen in 4th sample) it begins to take up a lot of vertical space

Is there a way to format the sub report to "wrap around" after a certain number of recordsand display the fields in another "column" to reduce the amount of vertical space and use the empty space next to the fields/

Thank you

For the subreport, in Page Setup you can specify column info, see attached. For each Column, though, you have to repeat the Column Headers if you want them visible. You need to format your columns to fit. For example, if you want 2 columns and your page width is 7" you need to make sure all your data fits into 3.375" (assuming .25" gap).

To actually restrict the height, for the subreport set Can Grow to No and set the height you want.

The only problem with this method is if your subreport has more data than can be displayed you will not see it. What you could always do is do a record count and adjust the height as needed in the Main reports Detail On Format event (assuming the subreport is in the detail section).
