Speech Marks appear in my row source..

Hi,
I am trying to add a row source for ethnic background on my db containing the following
“English / Welsh / Scottish / Northern Irish / British”;“Other White Background”;“White and Black Caribbean”;“White and Black African”;“White and Asian”; “Indian”;”Pakistani”;“Bangladeshi”;“Chinese”;“Other Asian Background”;“African”;“Caribbean”;“Arab”;“Other”

i have done this for titles contain Mr, Miss and Ms and it came out fine but for some reason in the ethnic background case when i select my choice in the tables the option comes up with the speech marks

E.g.

"chinese"
instead of
chinese

could someone please help me

As a curiosity I tried to emulate what you have done but I can't. Are you typing in the list selections or getting them from a table? Maybe if you posted your table someone could figure out what is wrong.

I did notice that the way you have typed the first few entries with a space before and after the dash seemed to limit the number of list items I could enter.
