split form on tab

Originally I was trying to put multiple tabs on another tab (still can't do that) - when I noticed that a cool split form doesn't show correctly on another of my tabs.

It converts back to a regular one record at a time form without the datasheet view at the bottom.

Is there a restriction that does not allow you to put a split form on a tab (kind of like a subform)?

Has this changed with Access 2010 or does the split form still not work in a tabbed control?

Split Forms are not cool. They are toys for novice developers. Don't waste your time trying to work with them.

What you have found is just one of many limitations with split forms. Wait until you start trying to drive them with code. Their object model is full of gaps.
