Hi,

I am trying to link an access database to sql server but whenever I link or import it it changes datatypes which are decimal and numerical on sql server 2005 to data type text in access. The DBS doesnt want to use float as its numerical data and I dont wanto to have to convert loads of fields in the table in access. Is there something obvious I am missing or is this a known bug/

Any help is appreciated as I've been stick on this for a few days.

Thanks in advance

Ok - I worked out what was happening for anyone stuck with the same issue. The dba was setting up the data type as decimal(32,10) while access only allows a maxium percision of 28.
