Hi All

I am a newbie and may ask you a stupid question but I can't figure out how to fix this. I want to run a particular form when I start up. For example, I am choosing the "Switchboard" form.

I set it up via "Tool"-> "Startup" and chose "Switchboard" for the "Display Form/Page" dropping box. I haven't changed any other default setting. I closed the database and re-started it but I get an error message as the following.

"Microsoft Access couldn't find the toolbar 'Form Control Small'."

But I don't have any form called such a name. Any ideas??

I use MS Access 2002.

That error states you have selected a toolbar named "Form Control Small". Double check your startup options and ensure that the form in question is not trying to open a non existant toolbar named "Form Control Small".

Sorry but what do you mean by "toolbar" exactly? I might misunderstand something here.. I double checked the startup option but don't see any "Form Control Small". "Switchboard" form is selected, which I want this form to start up first.

The database was initially designed by someone else, and it is a linked database. The manager want me to re-designed it since she needs to get rid of a few tables from it. I haven't removed any of them yet but firstly I imported all tables from the network drive where the database live. She has linked and non-linked database but the details is the same. After I imported all non-linked tables, queries, and report, and set the "Switchboard" form to start up. I get the error message. The original database works straight up but why not mine? I only imported all tables and the other stuff so they should be all the same, shouldn't they?

I was responding to your posting. You stated above that your error message was...

"Microsoft Access couldn't find the toolbar 'Form Control Small'."
Is that your error message are did you by chance mis-type your error message above?

Yes, "Microsoft Access couldn't find the toolbar 'Form Control Small'." was the error message when I opened the database after I set the form "Switchboard" to start up. But I now figured out what was wrong. When I was importing tables and stuff, I didn't tick "Import\Menus and Toolbars" under the "Option". After I re-imported with the tick, the start up is working.

Thank you!
