Stored previous field value before updates

Hi,

How do I stored a previous value of a field when the record updates (e.g. Date delivered changed from 01-April-07 to 01 May 07) in a form.
I would like to prompt the user after change like "Your Date has been changed from 01-April-07 to 01 May 07" after pressing the enter key or tab key on the screen.
