I just had a very strange error. I just created a new database from a template for Resource scheduling. In know you guys don't like templates, but I needed a quickie in a hurry, and this mostly fit what we are doing. I added a few fields, but did not change the name of any fields already there (although I did change the captions). Everything worked fine. Then I changed the captions on the switchboard. Closed it. Opened my Outlook intending to e-mail it to a coworker, but changed my mind & deleted it from the e-mail. When I went back in to test it one more time, whenever I tried to open my report (which had previously worked fine) the form prompting for a date range would not open. It gave a box with the error, "Error Accessing File. Network Connection may have been lost". Note this thing was saved on my desktop. Also, that form would open fine when just clicked on from the forms window. Since it worked fine before I messed with the Switchboard, I deleted that and replaced it with a fresh, unchanged copy from another new template I created. Now neither switchboard will open and I get the same message. Then it opens the Code window.. Bizzarre! It worked just fine a few minutes ago!! FYI, I am using Access 2000 on a PC using Windows 2000 that is connected to a network via a LAN.

Can anyone help? I had just finished the darn thing!!!

Tedious, but effective. Thanks! :)

It would seem that the error is in the original template, probably greated in that earlier version. Is there a way to avoid the problem in the future if I use the templates, or can I get new templates without the problem? I rarely use them, but when I do it is b/c I am doing something quick that fits the template. The fix takes a lot of time! Thanks!
