I have a database that needs to be available to other people via a network drive and I've made the dBase "read-only."

My problem: Currently, the users can open the input form via the menu (it's an "Edit Data" type selection but they can't change any data) so that they can view individual events based on date or location, etc. However, there's so much data associated with the event that I made a another form to contain test data; the form is accessed via a button on the main form. Unfortunately, with the database being "read-only" when they click on the button to open the "sub" form, it's blank -- so it's obviously set for "open in Add mode." How do I change it to open in "Edit" mode so that the form can be viewed in my read-only database. I could always give full permissions since I maintain the original on my hard drive but I dread having someone accidentally change the data and the next person in to look at it doesn't realize it and gets "bad" data.

Thanks for your help!
