Subform not using link?

I have a form with a subform on it. The subform is linked but the field Order_num. The field name is the same on the subform and parent form. When I file out the info on the parent form specifying the Order_num and then go to add the info on the subform it does not populate the Order_num field on my subform. I have tried everything I can think of. I have remade both the form and the subform. I have closed everything down and restarted. I have changed the record sources but nothing seems to change it. It was working fine until I removed a few fields from the subform but now even when I put everything back I still don't have any luck.

Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Well I feel stupid. I changed my old Order_num control to a label to hold the name of the form and made a new control that held my Order_num. I didn't however rename the original control after I changed it. Renamed the two controls to their proper names and that fixed it.
