What would you consider to be the most succesfull invention in the past 20 years.

It is the PC and the Microsoft Office. I am not sure if they qualify as inventions. I am a big fan of Bill Gates.

Most of the stuff designed and implemented by Burt Rutan, but more specifically White Knight and Spaceship One. A new era dawns...

The development of anti-viral drugs. I got shingles a few months ago. The doctor caught it in time, gave me anti-viral drugs and it cleared up in a few days rather than having to suffer through months of pain.

As an alternative you might try the uclinux. Keeps you more healthy than any MS product.
