Sum in a Report Based on Query (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to build a report that lists a set of events. The events have a start and stop date/time value. I perform the math to calculate the duration of the event. I am trying to sum the column of durations, and am having trouble understanding what to do. See attached. What am I not grasping?

Make a group footer. (Either make a Label in the query or use the report footer)
Add the duration field again in the footer,
Alter the source to: =Sum(Duration)

in the report, click GROUP & SORT button
in the grouping window (bottom)
add REPORT FOOTER
add the field
set the field to =SUM

(maybe get a book on Access basics)
