I have a single Employees table where several details of employees from several different departments are stored. Amongst this data there is the Department Code (numerical value referring to a Code Description Table) and the Monthly Salary. how can I make a query that displays how much total cash is being paid to each different department?

Is this text speak for you have a problem for some report?

Group by department and add a sum field on the salary in the group footer.
