I am creating a really spiffy switchboard for my application and I do mean spiffy. I would like to modify the font of the text in the command box but cannot find a way to do it. The MA Access helps (I always go there first) have not been too helpful on this one. Any suggestions?

I may be being thick but what command box?

I thought that's what those funny thingies with the text nad the push buttons were called. Terminology aside, how do I manipulate the fonts on the switchboard?

Do you mean just change them the once or change them in response to some action?

Wow! More capability here than I ever imagined. For starters I would just like to change the fonts to improve the readability of the text. Thanks.

click the relevant control or select multiple controls and open the property sheet, the option to change font, size, colour etc. is there

Thanks for your note. I am guilty of not looking through the options thoroughly enough. However, I note that the list of properties under the format tab changes when one item or a group of items is selected. Most confusing. I wish Microsoft would stop protecting me from myself.

I trust that you are not really using a switchboard created by the wizard if you really want control over your main forms navigational menu.

Check out these samples I have posted on how to change the font properties for a command button when it has the focus. The other one shows how to update a label depending on which command button has the focus.

You will be amazed but what you can find within this forum if you take the time to search for your questions.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I seldom have the luxury of investigatory time. I sneak it when I can though. I would like to reiterate Rich's question: you seem to advise against using the switchboard wizard. Why? Too limiting?

I suggest you take the time if you want the other members to help. Especially if you ask a common question that has been asked a thousand times before.

YES

Create your own navigation buttons to determine what objects [forms, etc.] the user opens. You can then assign events to those buttons to do just about anything you want. The links to the samples I posted above should get you started on how you can customize the actions of your command buttons. The wizards are great if you are just learning how to program in Access but you will have more control on how you control how your users "use" your forms once you create your own command buttons and events for each.
