I'm just full of questions today!

Ok, I want to add a switchboard to my database so I can make it more organized and user friendly for all my other coworkers who do not know how to use Access all that well.

Using the 'Help' Function in ACCESS itself, I found the step by step instructions... however I am having a little problem with step one... O.o

1. On the Tools menu, point to Add-ins, and then click Switchboard Manager.

I have found the Tools menu, obviously, and the Add-ins. All I have is an Add-in manager... I don't have the Switchboard Manager. The Add-in manager has an Uninstall (unable to click because there is nothing installed), Add new... and a Close button.

I tried the Add new but there are no files to install.

Does anyone know where to find the Switchboard Manager? Can I download it and then install it using the Add-in manager?

Thanks!

My personal view? Don't even go there. The switchboard manager and switchboards are a pain in the @$$ and do not have near the functionality of you just creating your own form.

You mean like a form with buttons to link everything? How can I make sure that it is the default thing to open?

In Access 2000-2003 go to TOOLS > STARTUP and select the startup form from the drop down.

In Access 2007, go to the big OFFICE BUTTON > ACCESS OPTIONS > CURRENT DATABASE and then do the selection of the startup form.

And for Access 97 and earlier - Create an AutoExec macro that has the action of OpenForm and the form name argument is the form you want opened. Save the macro and name it AutoExec.

Glad to be able to help :)
