Hi.

I have recently been recieving an error message:

"syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'field name' "

This happens each time I try and right click any of the fields on a certain page of my database whilst in datasheet view.

Can anyone help me fix this problem or offer some advice.

Thanks,

Hello.. Welcome to AWF.. :)

See if there is any event associated with the Form_OnClick() event. Or the controls that causes the error..

Also the Syntax error normally points to the query that forms the Record Source of the Form.. If you have accidentally compared Text with Number or vice-verse..

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

My problem is also that I don't know how to do any of the checks or fixes that you mentioned. I didn't design the database myself and until now have only input data, so have very little knowledge of Access and how to get around.

Check the image for how to check the Form properties..
