Tab Control shows through on all pages

Hi all,
I have an existing database which I am trying to add to and make it more user friendly, I want to use tab forms with tab forms as sub forms, so I have 7 main tabs (Personnel related) and then I want tab sub forms assigned to each, the only problem is they show through to all of the forms, I have tried changing the visable property but it will not let me as "you cant hide a control that has a focus" I know it is something basic, but I have searched and cant fond the 'box' to tick!

It sounds like you may have placed the subform onto the form Detail area rather than on a particular tab. I've found the easiest way to ensure I placed a control onto the proper tab was to highlight the control and "cut" it (using Control+X) then right-click the tab name of the tab into which you want to paste the control, and choose Paste.
