I’m in form design view & dropped a tab control in the detail section. I put a bunch of fields on the 1st tab page but when I click on the 2nd tab page the controls on the 1st tab are appearing there too (or I can rephrase that statement by saying that when I click the 2nd tab I don’t see a blank tab) I checked my notes & can’t find a solution yet, ideas please?

The problem you are having is that each tab should have a sub form on it and the buttons or other controls you want on the tab should actually be on the sub form.

The same thing happened to me. I didn't end up using a subform, but had to be careful about just what was selected when I hit the "paste" button. I forget the exact order of events. I think that the tab control had to be moved to the front, then I selected a particular page instead of the tab control as a whole, and then it worked fine.
