hi iam new to this forum this is my first post , i'am trying to design a student database and i have designed it just want to know how to add different tabs to the view and how to add button/pull down menus to that certain tab when i try to add buttons the go ontop every tab and i can't figure out how to rectefy this any help is app , if you dont know what i'am on about let me know and i will email the database to you and you can see what i mean , thanks ccbup4it

The kind of help you want is inappropriate to the style of this forum. You must do your own work. I recommend that you go to a bookstore or library and read up on forms design through Access. We are more likely to be able to help you with narrowly directed questions.

I will help you, briefly, with one part of it since it really is something that can escape people easily (even after looking in the help file, etc. I know because it happened to me back when I first started). In order to add controls to a tab control, you need to select the appropriate tab first before dragging and dropping a control on it. It doesn't matter if it is the first tab showing, if it isn't actually selected controls that you place will show as if you placed it on all tabs - and that is also how you place a control on a tab control that can show on all tabs.
