Textbox displays

Hi all,

Im trying to get a textbox to be blanked out. In otherwords it displays the value i want, but it is like embedded into the form if you know what i mean. And the user is unable to click into it, but it does display a value. Ive seen this done before, i just dont know how its done. Ive got it to display the value i want, but the user is able to click into the box and change it if they with. I want them to be able to see the box and its value but not be able to click in the box.

Textbox

Open the form in design view, select the field, on the Data Tab of Properties set Locked to YES

Another option is to set the textbox's Enabled property to No. This will dim the control and make it impossible for the user to click into the textbox. There is more info in the Help file on the Locked and Enabled properties as well as the Tab Stop property, which may or may not be relevant to your form.
