I'm currently reading Terry Pratchett's "The Fifth Elephant" again. In the Fifth Elephant, Terry has a character "Igor", manservant to vampires/diplomats/blackboard monitors and other people of esteemed positions. Anyone who is anyone has an "Igor" as a man servant. "Igors" are treated as one in the same person even though they are replicas, sort of. One "Igor" might be composed of different parts than another "Igor"... The basic premises is that the "Igors" self assemble, finding bits from dead bodies that they find useful and attaching those bits to themselves. Commander Vimes In a conversation with a Vampire, it came about that the "Igors" are very popular with the young ladies, just a brilliant joke!
