The resource vampires strike again ...

I am truly amazed at some of the questions posted on this site.

I can understand that documentation can be confusing, or that the logic (i.e. that the software does exactly what it was instructed to do, rather than what the programmer expected it to do) can confound some, so then they very sensibly seek help. Or that the issue is complex, and it is not obvious how to go about achieving what one wants.

But, many posts are expression of sheer laziness. Can't be bothered to look-up documentation, can't even be bothered to go through the code. Easier to let others deal with the problem. And all this in the age of Google, where plugging an error message into Google oftentimes throws up a solution in milliseconds.

I can only admire the volunteer corps of people that over and over again can be bothered to help the layabouts.

I do not have your angelic patience, so I salute you!

Some of us come from the days that there was no help, just a pretty hopeless manual. Yes, you are quite right there is repetition of some questions but these indicates the lack to specific help to frequently used functionality, such as, Cascading Combi-boxes and Pictures in Access.

The former I had help from I think this forum, it was such an eloquent solution that it is unsurprising that many developers are asking the same solution. The later we have been waiting a decade to see images, in their native format, being able to be used.

Even old dogs can learn a few new tricks and often looking at some of the solutions these offer answers to other problems.
