I headed over to the Westgate Shopping Centre in Shepherd’s Bush, London, to check out the Cybercab!

Looks about as interesting as the new Jag.
I'll only buy a car that I'd have been pleased to have designed. So haven't had a Jag for years. Not since Ford based them on the Mondeo. THen Ford sold them to Tata and they became a Tata Jag, which is not good. Mind you Renault named on of their cars after a cleaning rag...the Dacia Duster, which maybe as bad as it gets.
None of the Tesla designs are quite right. Too much cabin height on some but maybe that is caused by the 12 foot slab of batteries under the seats?
But so many out there like them, so what do I know? The nice thing about a Tesla is that there are so many words starting with T to describe the drivers. There's a T* in a Tesla and so on. (nothing personal)

If that awful thing is called 'cybercab', is it actually a taxi?

It's a great solution if you want to throw back a few pints but don't want to chat to a human on your way to the next pub

It seems destine to star in a zombie movie. After the outbreak, carloads of zombies will be sent cycling between autonomous charging stations. Either zombies or weed addicts, but it would be hard to tell the difference.

That picture of it on fire makes it look like a baby 1980's DeLorian from the film 'Back to the Future'.

Old is Gold.
Not Cybercab, but from the same family.

Does it have an ejector seat more like. Something going wrong means the doors won't open.
Doesn't need ejector seats, just explosive bolts for the doors. Course that leads to doors blowing off when the battery dies, but that may actually be a good thing! Where I am, it gets definitely over body temperature during the summer, so having children or pets stuck in one when its battery dies (and the AC with it) would be a very good thing!

Nevermind that one, I think current Teslas, most models, are pretty ugly. They just don't have the symmetry I like in auto shapes

What do you think is the ugliest vehicle? High on my list would be the boxy ones ... kia soul, pt cruiser and one i can't remember that's an exact rectangle

I've had a Tesla Model 3 for nearly 4 years. The appearance is not so good from the rear - but then again my appearance is not so good from the rear. The design is for reducing the wind resistance to increase the range. It can go 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. It's mostly charged by solar panels on my roof. Based on my feed in rate, I forego less than $2 per 100 miles. Re maintainence costs, I've had to replace the tires and replace a air filter for the cabin at $180.

Downsides include extra time for long trips for charging. We visit wife's parents who live about 450 miles way or just over 7 hours driving. Recharging takes a bit under an hour. We normally aim on 2 stops for charging, about 25 minutes each. You also can't rev the car at the lights!!??
