I'v been playing with this for the last few days and have found work arounds to most of my issues, but it can still be done better. The database is a work in progress and far from being complete, but I figured I'd share what I have so far, with the hopes that someone out there has some ideas on streamling the code and simplifying the MS Word template development process.
Here's what I've got so far...
main form that has basic personnel data
Education subform
Publication subform
Work History subform including a nested projects subform
The goal is to export all the data, including subform records to an MS Word template.
The code is limited right now to exporting a single resume with 1 education record, 1 publication record, and 2 work history records with up to 5 project records per work history record. If you have any ideas on how to simplify this process (template creation included) it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Please note that the template1.doc file needs to be copied to c:/resumes
