Tick box value

Hi,

I've got a table with a key & a 'Live' tick box.

I just added a new item to it via a form -enter the key & the default for the tick box is 'Yes' according to the table setup.
It's then supposed to pop up in a combo box on a form but wasn't so I created a query to have a look & cannot seem to get it included in the query with any criteria whatsoever on the 'Live' field -even simply Is Null or Is Not Null.
I've tried -1, 0, 1, Yes, No, True, False, On, Off as criteria & it won't come up with any of them!

When I paste it into excel, the value in the 'Live' field is TRUE, same as the other items in the field which do work in the query.

Any suggestions as to why it's doing this & how I can solve it?

A ticked check box will return a value of -1 or True

Sounds like you are trying to query the record before it is saved.

A new record only exists in the controls on the form but not in the table until you move out of the record or save it.
