Ok, so its easy to pull the top 2,3 or so of
a field by using the drop down list on the toolbar.
however that only seems (or its all i can make it do),is give the top x from all the items in the table.
What i want to do is be able to find the top 2 or 3 or so items value by CATEGORY.
Before moving to access I would have achieved that in Lotus approach by doing a series of queries and deleting each "found set " in turn, from the underlying table.
Do I need to do that here or is there a simpler way.???
If so how do u set up a delete query for a found set please.
Any other ideas welcome.
The ultimate objective is to be able to append say top1 to a newtable column called [top1],top2 to [top2] etc.
So for a top 2 find i would do a min/max query etc.
Any ideas would be helpful please
