Total on Report (1 Viewer)

Dear All,

I need help to my report, please see attached, (a query data source and the report).

I could not get a correct total (Sum) of commissions as it sums up all the rows as displayed in the query.. "Sum" function is not giving the correct summation.. You can see on the query that it shows all the rows of payment (from tblPayment) of the buyer of agent 36, please ignore the report of the buyer of agent 38 (lower part of the report)..

On the report i use the wizard - summation and hide the details (from the toolbars) hence it gives me the correct number of rows per buyer of agent 36 ..

What i wanted to do is to get the sum of the displayed rows of buyer payment per agent (first agent com. should have a total of 4,277.77..on the sample report pls refer only to the first 2 rows (agent 36) which you can see only on the query.

I hope it explains my scenario, and get a positive solution.

The problem is that you don't have a break for buyerID. If you add a grouping by buyerID, you can put the fee on that header. Then, since it occurs only once per buyerID, it will sum correctly.

@moi While likes are always appreciated, they are essentially meaningless. Are you simply acknowledging my existence or are you saying that you are going to change the report to add a break on buyerID? Please don't ever feel you need to like every response you ever get. No expert who tries to help you is trolling for Likes (OK, maybe some are). If you want to just thank someone for bothering to respond, please use your words since that doesn't leave any doubt of your intent. Save your likes for a reply that solves your problem. THAT will help others who read this thread.

Sorry pat if my "likes" gave you someting else, but for me as you said "that i have a language problem" my like is more than a word.. Ofcourse i thank all you guys here for helping me solving my db problems..

I'm sorry my point wasn't clear.

If you have your answer, please mark the thread as solved. If adding the break for buyerID did not solve the problem, let us know.
