I just discovered TreeView Controls after browsing through this site today...in a word, awesome!

I've done alot of searching, and it seems that most of the discussion on TreeView is at a data level.

What I am wondering is if a TreeView can be used as a database navigational pane...ie switchboard, where the nodes are comprised of individual forms and/or reports, that when clicked, opens the associated form/report?

Does anybody have a sample db where this is being done or can somebody give me some tips on doing this?

I have a sample treeview.mdb in 2000, and I can freely create the parent and child nodes. That is the extent of my knowledge. I don't know how to make the nodes "actionable".

I appreciate all the advice!

Thanks for the reply....I changed the tables to house the names of my forms and reports.

The names are now listed in the treeview as well.

So for the next step, how do I code the nodes to open a new form or report when clicked? You mentioned a button...but is it possible to do this just by clicking on a node?

I'm looking to leave the treeview form open at all times, and when a node is clicked to open the associated form or report.

Will the Treeview be tied to any other forms, or just the menu. If a menu, I would create a table (which you aleady have), and have 2 fields, one of the name of the form or report, one of the name you want to display. On the double click of the node, carry out a find, (which the thing already does) and then Docmd.OpenReport fieldvalue.

Hope you understand what I an talking about.
