trying populate a db from email

I am using 2007. I would like to automate a process whereby an jpg attachment arrives by email and and is populated into the db. I guess that the subject line of the email would have to be in the db, and a query or search carried out.

I don't know how to made the db poll the inbox every 10 seconds and extract the jgp and input it against a persons name. Can any help please.
