types of replicas

quick question.

i have a design master (just tables) and i have setup a ananymous replica, so i can test internet replication.

can i use the same replica for indirect synchroniseation or does i have to make a new replica which is either local or global rather than anonymous??

anyone got any ideas??

MS paper "Database Replication in Microsoft Jet 4.0" underlines the interest of anonymous replicas in case of sync over internet, but also underlines a few limitations of such replica.

I already heard other restrictive advicea on the use of anonymous replica, namely the in following article form M. Kaplan.
Sometimes it doesn't pay to be anonymous!

having payed a bit more last nite, and made a new global replica, that synchronised indirectly with no problems at all. so i think the best thing to say is that you only use anonymous replicas for internet synchroniseation only!.

i had gone through the Trigeminal website but i hadnt spotted the article about anonymous replicas before
