Unable to Space Controls on Tab Page

:confused:Access 2010.
When select all controls on a tab control page in design view I find I'm unable to increase or decrease the horizontal or vertical spacing. The commands are available, (not greyed out), but when I select, say, increase verticle the spaces between the controls don't increase. Ditto for all other spacing commands. If I drag and drop the controls off the tab control onto the form I am able to space them. I then must copy the controls, select the tab control page and paste them back.
I posted this question on Microsoft Answer Forums and one person suggested I need to select the controls and select Remove Layout from the Arrange ribbon tab to unattach the controls from their labels. But the command is greyed out and the group is called Table.
Not sure where to go from here to space my controls on the tab page but dragging them to the form and pasting them back to the tab control page is a pain.

Any ideas?
James

Hi,

Yes, I have had this problem and haven't been able to find a solution. I think it's a known issue with Access.

The workaround is to copy all of the controls that you need to arrange / size and paste them all into a new blank form (with no tab control). Do all of your sizing and arranging and then paste them back into the tab (page) of the tab control on the form.

It works well!

Good luck.
