I try to ride my bicycle about 11 miles a day during the work week (five miles to work, six miles back, yes there is a reason). But this morning, I discovered that my front tire was flat. Not enough time to fix. Maybe I will get to it tonight.
Well I ended up having to buy a new tube (no idea where the leak is in the old tube, but I do not have a good way to check for a leak). But back to riding every day (at 63, it takes longer to get used to riding everyday).
Add some sort of detergent or cleaning agent to a bucket of water. Wash the bike. When done inflate the old tube. Dribble a small amount of water over the surface. You should see bubbles forming at the site of the leak.
I did not a bath of water to use (My wife will not let me use our bathroom tub). I could have done the detergent and bucket of water. I did not think of that. Anyhow I checked the tub once again (very carefully), found the leak, but now that I have a new tube, not sure I want to try to fix it.
