Hi,

I need to unhide the menu options, toolbar, and the toolbox that have been hidden by the previous developer. I am using Access 97. What is the way to do this? I can't use the right-click property and the VB Editor, either.

Thanks.

Tools-Customize then check the various toolbars ect.

That would be nice if the Tools menu was unhidden.

Well if this isn't the solution I'm afraid I can't help !!

Prevent or allow access to all built-in toolbars in an Access database or Access project

On the Tools menu, click Startup.

Clear or select the Allow Built-in Toolbars check box.
Notes

Changes to this setting in the Startup dialog box won't take effect until the next time the Microsoft Access database or Microsoft Access project is opened.

This option does not affect toolbars for PivotTable lists or spreadsheets on a data access page.

To enable users to modify built-in toolbars, make sure both the Allow Built-in Toolbars and Allow Toolbar/Menu Changes check boxes are selected. To prevent users from customizing all built-in toolbars, select the Allow Built-in Toolbars check box, but clear the Allow Toolbar/Menu Changes check box.

You can prevent users from customizing specific toolbars. For more information, click .

For a list of issues to consider when setting options in the Startup dialog box, click .

I have to reach the Tools menu somehow to go into Start-up and unhide the toolbar, etc. As soon as I open the database, the toolbar and some of the menu options disappear.

Anyway, thank you for your reply.

Sorry I couldn't help.
Looks like you've gotta find the code to disable - Good luck
