I have a problem where not all records in my tables will updated with an update query, I cannot seen to locate any reason why?
I have a table of 1.8 millon records which has 60-70, 000 records added each quarter. The new records have some missing text data which is added via an update query. This uses a unique key to match some existing data of the same type. My update query works great for 95 % of my requirements BUT for some reason the other 5% just refuse to update. I get the ie "You are about to update 41000 records" mgs , I accept and get no access warnings, but some records just dont update?
The required updated fields are Text between 2 and 30 chrs, if I change my query to a Select I can see all the matching data but they just dont update, I can add them manually.
Any help here would be appricated as I can work arounf but I get this every qtr and a result would save me some real time. Access 2k but have also tried in 2007 no different results.
