Update Query PLease HELP!!!!!

i want to have a query that will update saved records in a table (the record to be updated is found by using auto number/customer ID typed in on the form). the query then updates the fields in the table relating to that customer

Please help (code sample please because i am very confused, i am a novice in VBA!!!)

If you are using a form bound to the data, you don't need to explicitly save it. If you close the form or move to another record, the data will be saved.
