I am using the onChange Event in a listbox to continually narrow down from a list of phone numbers, so that if you click when it's empty, it shows every phone number in the table it's looking up, if you type in the first number of the area code and click the down arrow, it just shows all the phone numbers that start with that one number, and continues to narrow as you type in numbers.
My fear is that as the table it's looking up grows to many thousands, and perhaps tens of thousands of entries, that this many lookups will cause delays in typing in every number.
Is there a more eloquent way of doing this, or will this not be an issue (I'd be fine with a maximum of a few milliseconds recalculation between keystrokes)?
