After I upgraded my access 2000 to 2002, I ran into a problem. When I tried to open 4 of my querys, the whole database shuts down(2002). Does anybody know why this happens?

Thanks for your time.

Not at all... if you were going from A97 to 2000 (or above), that'd be pretty explainable, but I think 2000 all the way 2003 should be pretty compatable.

There may be some data discrepancies created when updating...
Try "Compact and Repair Database" from the Tools => Database Utilities Menu

Post if it works or not

I will get back to you on that. Thanks

I went ahead and tried it and now I keep getting this error message " An Error occurred while loading'Form_FrmEditPartialTbl. Do you want to continue loading the project?. The weird part about this is I cannot find the forms in the form area, but if I go to the Visual Basic and click on the Project Explorer I can see the missing forms. When I click on the missing forms, the error message comes up with “ The Form name ‘Form_FrmEditPartialTbl” is misspelled or refers to a form that doesn’t exist” How can I get rid of this? and would this cause a problem not allowing me to open a query with out shutting down the database?

Thanks for your help.

If you dont mind posting ur db, i'll take a look at it. I dont want to tell you to go ahead and delete it, if it's a system form. If you created it and you don't need it... then just delete it.

Also goto Tools => Options and check the Hidden objects .... the form might be hidden.

It sounds like your Db has a lot of errors. When Access is mucked up... anything could be a reason for anything. It'd be better to just open a new db file and copy everything over (if you can). That will reset the index and clear help filter out any errors you had.

Thanks Modest for your help. I'll let you know what I come up with.

Thanks again
