I am having a hard time in figuring how to attack a certian problem. I am trying to make a form in which we can upload data into a datasheet form from an excel spread sheet via cut and paste.
My problem is with how the database and data is structured in order to let me cut and paste:
Tables
Catalog Product Table
- Catalog Model PK
- Model FK
- Product FK
Product Table
- Product PK
- Product Name
Model Table
- Model PK
- Manufacturer FK
- Type FK
When I upload the data I need it to find the Model via information given such as Explorer , Ford, SUV and then for the Product Bumper information and saving the Primary Keys of both the model and the Product in the Catalog Products table.
Every time I try to set something up it wants to add a new Model to the Model table.
