Use unbound combo box to update form

I am trying to populate two of many controls on my form from the lookup results of an unboud combobox rowsource. I have tried different things that don't work because I think I need to use the after update of the combo box but I can't seem to find how to get to the different columns in the rowsource. Obviously I don't know the correct terminology, as every way I have tried to lookup this in help, gives me totally unrelated information same when researching this site. Any help would be appreciated.

In the after update event of the combo you can set the value of a text box to one of its columns (zero based) to:

Me.YourTextBoxNameHere = Me.YourComboBoxName.Column(1)

That would put the 2nd column value in the text box.
