VBA, graphics & MS Word

I'm trying to lay out a document using MS word with VBA - sort of working okay(ish) using .shapes.addpicture but layout goes wrong if picture is portrait as opposed to landscape. Any way of reading file size or, just centering the picture once it is re-sized to the right height
