Very Slow Loading Form

Hi, I have a problem with a Form that takes a long time to load. Its activated by a command button on another Form, there is some vba code in the Form Open event but the delay happens before the vba code is activated, it's like it is waiting for something or doing something in the background. This is takening 60 sec's+ before the vba Form Open event happens.

1. Is this in a split database (backend - tables only and frontend everything else)?

2. If split, is the frontend on your machine or is it being run from a network location?

Yes the database is split, only tables in the back end, and the front end is only on my machine.

You might try the persistent connection suggestion here (or even some of the other items, including setting the subdatasheets in the tables to NONE):
